G'day

Earlier this year I posted a wanted notice here for Neoprene to make my
own wetsuit without success. Anyway I've just found some BUT it's a
skintone colour......not the look I wanted ;-))) Anyway what I'm asking
now, has anyone made their own wetsuit? Which pattern did you use? If
you didn't make your own......what features do you think important that
I could add to my own suit? I know the seams are glued, taped on the
inside, then stitched on the outside......zippers have flaps so as not
to grab skin....ouch!! a tab with dogclip to attach a car key was one
thing I was thinking about?? Maybe you have other suggestions along
these lines? What is your favourite length suit? Short/long legs,
short/long/no sleeves? I know this will depend on where I'll be wearing
it too......maybe I'll start with short sleeves/legs and see how that
goes? Thanks in advance for any suggestions....as you can see I like a
challenge and if I can get some neoprene (other than skin colour) I'll
give it a go. Looking forward to reading your hints......thanks heaps!!

I would suggest to think of the way to wear it and take it off. I have
three wetsuits made. They are so fit that it take me a lot of time to wear
it either dry or wet and it is very difficult to take it off without
somebody's help after dive.

Thanks........I was planning on making a lycra swimsuit to wear
underneath to prevent it from sticking to my skin and therefore make
removal easier. A satin-finish lycra will be my preferred choice. But
thanks for your comments.
