Hi everybody,

We are planning a trip to australia in December, 4 weeks.
Going to Sydney and from there by car along the coast north and back.
We are planning on camping and diving. So we are looking for some good tips.
So let us knowwhere the local know secrets are?

4 weeks wont get you far :)

Read

http://www.michaelmcfadyenscuba.info/articles/nsw.htm

And start off with

Forster (Seal Rocks)
South West Rocks (Fish rock Cave)
Mulloway or Wooli (Solitary Islands, North Solitary in particular from
Wooli)
North Stradbrock Island (Manta Ray Bommie)

Avoid Byron - they cater for OW divers - new ones and with respect to all
who have dived there, Julian Rocks is not the best on that coast... Though
there is a damn fine restaurant there called Fish Heads. And also a fine
dine one called Fin. Actually a couple of damn fine restaurants there - you
can eat real well :)

(BTW where are you coming from?)

Stop at Hawks Nest and dive Broughton Island ( you can do it fron nelsons

Even Sydney have great diving options, both on the North and South side
of the City, from shore as well as from boat, for novice and
experienced techies.
Come down and enjoy the underwater world :o)
