pity the poor things are almost extinct. I used to go snorkelling with the
grey nurse sharks as a kid off the rocks between Balmoral Beach and
Chinamans Beach in Sydney in the early 70's. People used to go out and kill
these "man-eaters" for sport what wankers

Thanks for that it was interesting. Grey Nurses look scary but seem to be
harmless, although saying that my wife while snorkling met a white tip reef
shark and left footprints on the water getting out. I assured her that they
were harmless which calmed her down until she found an article about one
taking a bite out of a diver at Heron Island.

IMHO the diver must of shoved her arm down it's throat to get bitten but who
knows

Dived with 7 off Montague two weekends ago. It was awesome. Viz 18 to 22 in
the gutters. The 24 degree water was nice too ;-) !

Those are AMAZING photos, thanks for sharing! I dove with
grey nurse sharks at Underwater World in Mooloolaba, and
will be doing it again this year. Would really love to dive in
the open ocean with them. Where are the best places to go
to see them?

i'd love to go there it looks like a cool place to have a go and the water
is crystal clear too

i dive at foster / tuncurry and see sharks here all the time

at seal rocks we see grey nurse sharks on every dive
