Hey,

I'm writing an article for a well-known (in the US anyway, maybe not
Oz) men's magazine and I need some ideas as to what is new, gear-wise,
in Scuba. Who makes it, what it is. DOn't have to be too detailed if
you want to help, just give me the name/item and I'll research it
myself.

Thanks for any help.

Peace,

Tre

Mares is the best followed by Cressisub.

My opinion however.

Thanks for the reply, but what I meant was, is there any new gear out
there that you think is hot?

I think all new dive gear is hot.....the more expensive and better built
(mostly Italian) the hotter it is. But some of my personal favorites
even though they are a little dated are :-

Mares HUB
Cressisub Bigeyes
Apollo Biofins
Any Uwatec Dive computer
Any of the Cressisub semidrys
(http://www.cressi-sub.it/prodotti.asp?lan=uk&id_c=11&id_p=252)
Diverite
Underwater Kinetics torches esp the SL series.
I also have an Italian Dive knife whose brand is UNK but it is a great
knife.

But others will probably disagree with some of my choices.

what about the new Seaquest Fusion BCD - fairly radical styling but with a
great comfort factor
Mares X-Vision
Talaria split fins (same patent as the ScubaPro ones but only around half
the price)
new Uwatec SmartTec wrist-mounted integrated computer

Really, the list is almost endless ... it is only limited by your
imagination !!

Imagination is the key; money is no object for the editors of the
magazine for which I write. This is an imaginary trait they project
onto the reader, as much a fantasy as the women adhered to the pages
of said mag ;-)

Thanks for the help, guys.
