I need to get a new gear bag. My current one is a 27yo Sea Suits, which is
just a vinyl bag basically.

I've been looking at Scubapro's "Resort", Oceanic's "Courier 2", Aqua Lung's
"Carrier" and TUSA's "Roller Duffel Bag"

I'm interested in the Carrier and the Roller Duffel primarily because they
have side compartments for fins and the Scubapro Resort because it has a
zip-off regulator bag already on the side.

Anyone have any useful input to the decision? Alternatives I haven't
spotted?

thanks

depends on whether you need to travel with it i guess

most of the regulars i dive with use 'bunnings' boxes,
basically big plastic tubs, plenty of room for the lot.
they work well for storage and would fit in most cars

drilling a little hole in one bottom corner makes them
useful for washing gear too...

It depends on what you want to use it for, Like Anonymous above I use
a big plastic box for local (ie a car drive) dives as it saves a lot
of rust and have a 2 compartment US divers Roller for going away. All
the bags I have seen tend to leak a bit, no matter what they say so
unless it is a hire car beware, a lot of people put them in bins in
their cars and plastic bin can be used with a trolley if that worries
you.

I use an old fish box that I picked up from the fish markets. It's very
strong and can hold all of my gear. The advantage for me is I can repack my
gear wet for the drive home then just hose the box out.

I use a very cheap gym bag with the equipment in trash bags (when wet), is
more discrete. Scuba gear bags look too much like scuba gear bags

For travel I have one of this
http://www.benetton.com/html/en/lifestyle/accessories/travelbags/06.shtml

All the equipment fits there (except the regulators who travel in the hand
lugage in a laptop bag ())
